Default Slip yoke/eliminator?

I have a 99 ram 1500 4x4. I have a nasty leak out the back of the T case. I add fluid fairly regularly but sometimes I forget and sometimes I don’t park so it doesn’t leak. I want to fix it for good but I can’t find a slip yoke that 100% definitely fits anywhere. Furthermore I want to lift the truck with long travel leafs so a slip yoke I feel would be a limit. Has anyone done an eliminator on these trucks? Or knows whether the Jeep NP231 eliminator will work?

Why not replace the seal?

And probably the bushing in the t-case tail shaft as well.

Interesting question. I'd think there's a decent chance of a J-case eliminator working but I'm only speculating.

Let us know what you do!

What did the Mexican Ramchargers get?? I ask because in OBS Fords the pickups were slip yoke but the Broncos were a fixed flange. Some companies would sell the Bronco parts and market it as an SYE but it was just OEM stuff.

These were mostly BorgWarners (1345 and 1356) with a smattering of NP208s in the early years

the transfer case was just rebuilt with a new output shaft seal. It’s leaking because of the slip yoke being pitted and rusty

How about purchasing another slip yoke? Several places should have them (Mancini Racing, etc.) or try a pick and pay salvage yard. It's kinda rare to run across a pitted up slip yoke unless it's been left out in the weather or exposed in a rust belt area.

I’ll try a junk yard. I’ve been trying to find a new slip yoke but can’t seem to find it anywhere for less than ~$130

You can try using car-part.com. It allows salvage yards to list parts they have in inventory to the public. They have a category part called Yoke/U-joint. I found several there.

I ordered this for our '91 YJ plow Jeep. I canNOT confirm it would fit the Rams but if this one is ~$80 there may be less expensive options new
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I paid $60 almost exactly a year ago. Don't worry though, it's "transitory"
