Hope I didnt miss this somewhere but , something seems off with the information I’m gathering or something yet mentioned in regards to this sensor…. I have 95 Ram 5.9 4x4 gas Auto which should take 46rh, except I dont have a sensor/bung/ on my oil line. There is a 2wire terminal hanging off a loom that branches off along with a 3 pin to valve body ,I believe ,and another 3 pin for neutral/start switch.
Crossrefrenced the vin and specs say my truck is supposed to be Manual, All signs indicate otherwise( it cost $1 to run vin maybe that’s why it’s says manual, I’m hoping)
I added pictures hoping someone could ID the cable and if I fact it is for a temp sensor I believe should be in the oil line Black cable with blue on terminal hanging loose Oil line , no bung or sensor 2 3pin terminal attached Vin specs Vin specs
Temp sensor on the RH trans was optional, part of some heavy duty package or other. You can run your vin here, for free, and it will tell you how your truck came from the factory.

Not for pre 98 vin check, and I was curious about it cause the truck threw a p0713 at a dealerships shop. They said I could potentially have a wrong transmission since there was no temp sensor….the truck starts and runs fine for a lil while the just looses all drive..mind you I had another gentleman service the trans (rebuild). He mentioned band band , initially after service it errored the same and I returned it only fir ut to come up again mechanic said it could be grounding or engine stuff….but I’ll let it cool and right up again .mystery to me
