Did you happen to clear the code after swapping parts?

Well Here goes my next dilemma. So after getting truck started and all letting it run to temp and all I lost oil pressure I figured it could be a faulty sending unit so purchased a new one installed all seemed good took a ride about 5 miles just to get moving as truck has been sitting for a couple months. As I was coming to a stop for a turn around truck dies. while it did restart oil pressure dropping out yet again and while cranking motor sounds strange and it was running with like a skip issue yet there was no codes thrown at all and engine light never came on . So I nursed it back to the house and checked fluids and everything I could think of finding nothing out of the normal. I have a couple videos I made this morning of initial start, one of warming up and one at operating temp with oil pressure staying at idle 35-40 and at @ 1800 rpm 45-50. I did notice the motor had like a tick as if a lifter is not staying pumped up but after it starts heating up tick does go away. Although this morning it seemed to run just fine no sluggish acceleration motor sounded great I am concerned when I put motor under load is when the issue starts. Any ideas of what I possibly may have missed?

Tick might just be an exhaust leak.... If it isn't bad, and goes away as the motor warms, I wouldn't worry about it.

As for the oil pressure, I would be real tempted to screw a mechanical gauge in there, and see what pressure is really doing..... Bad sending units aren't a surprise, but, I would like to think a 'new' one wouldn't fail immediately. But hey, wouldn't be the first time a bad part came right out of the box....

Know anyone with a fairly high zoot scanner? Might wanna check fuel sync, and see how far off it is.
