new to forum old to dodge.
used to have a 91 dodge dakota with a 4-cylinder. tough little truck. had over 300,00 miles on it. just rebuilt the top end. stupid vacuum lines caught on the throttle went wide open. still managed to drive it 10 miles. sold it to the neighbor kid. bought a 95-grand caravan, and fixed a bunch of stuff on it. runs great. dad bought a 96 dodge ram 1500 at an estate sale and it runs except the a/c doesn't work, needs a compressor. dad found out why you don't bypass the safety. now the only problem it has is the overdrive makes noise. if you take it out of overdrive the growling goes away. it has over 120,00 miles on the original trans. he only drives it once a month or so but it would be nice to fix it,
