Default 2500 Lowering

Hello everyone, I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 5.9 Gas motor 2wd that i am looking to reverse level or lower without removing any leafs. I saw some lowering shackles at oreilys that say they fit a 1500 but not a 2500. Does anyone know if i can still use these? If not does anyone have a good lead on other lowering shackles or other methods to lower my truck just a few inches and still be able to put a good amount of weight in the bed?

1500 springs are 2.5 inches wide, 2500 springs are 3", so, the 1500 shackles won't work. Is there a block between the axle, and spring on your truck?

Fords liked 3" springs so long as 4wd. Try lowering shackles for those?

Shackles alone might whack your camber so you might need to raise the front eye hangers on the frame.

It looks like I have 2 half inch blocks (not just one) between the overload spring and the axle

Camber isn't an issue on the rear... I don't think he has rear wheel steering.. .But, once the truck is at its final stance, a front end alignment would definitely be a good idea.

Doh! I was distracted when typing that!! Pinion angle, not camber. Lengthening shackles in tension will tip the snout down.

OP, try OBS 4wd Fords, say '80-96

Is the spring under overkill? Might require notching the frame.

Ya know, that's not the worst plan!! OP could even run a MORE heavy duty pack (for lift) and then go spring under to negate any of the additional ride height and then some

That might be overkill for what I'm looking for. I've heard that would lower it close to 6 inches, I'm only looking to lower a few inches
