Default 94' 1500 Intermediate steering shaft seized

Finally got around to installing the RockSolid steering column kit and discovered the steering shaft is seized. Have both the column and gear box side u-joint bolts loose. Could not disconnect the column side but the gearbox side is moving. Have moved it about 1/4" and the connection on the column has moved up about 1/4" inch. So the shaft is seized.

Did a search and could not find any fix for a seized steering shaft other than replacement. I have no problem replacing it but noticed all the aftermarket steering shafts are for 95' - 02' except for the higher priced ones.

Is there a difference between 94' and 95' steering shafts. Used factory ones cover 94' - 02' so not sure why aftermarket is 95' - 02'

No idea. I do see RA doesn't even list one for '94, but they do for '95

I'd order and try it. Just do not get the UltraPower from RA!

Curious as to why?

It looks like the aftermarket ones have a rag joint right before the u-joint to the column. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...sn=978&jsn=978

Maybe a fitment issue. Going to look and see how much clearance I have there.
