Angry Transmission problem

I have a 1998 Ram1500 5.2 4WD. It’s a 46RE auto trans. Whenever I pull out of the driveway it goes from 1st to 3rd back down to 1st and then to 2nd and then shifts normally. After this going straight is fine but whenever I turn from a stop it does kind of the same thing, goes from 1st to 2nd then back down to 1st and then shifts normally. I thought it was the tranny fluid so I changed it but it did absolutely nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Wouldn't hurt to change the electronics, and do a band adjustment.

You may have to change the Governor Pressure Sensor and the Governor Pressure Sensor Solenoid. I’m in the process of doing that on my 99 Ram 1500 Sport. Not a hard fix.

Borg Warner governor pressure sensor solenoid and a Rostra governor pressure sensor. The Rostra's come right off the same line as the OEM but without a P/N. Mines been working for 5 years so far.
