So I’m redoing my whole front end 1997 dodge Ram 1500.
theurin track bar
synergy t style replacement
blue top gear box
i know we will all have different opinions on some that but I already pulled the trigger . So that shop has sailed lol.
my question is I’m going to put a new pump on as well ….any good Brands suggested.
sounds like none of work or any good lol.
give me thought. Never even heard of half of them anymore….lares?? And so one

I have rarely seen a filter on power steering... only on really high-end luxury cars... (mercedes, bmw, et al.) Considering most p/s system go decades with barely any maintenance, and continue to work perfectly fine, I think it's just an added expense/complication that isn't really necessary.

I'm on my third or fourth pump (can't remember). It's a new one from rockauto (can't remember brand) but it's the aluminum/silver body one. It whines pretty bad. I've flushed it and bled it about 2 dozen times over 3 years. Whatever. I hate replacing them.
If yours doesn't make noise and operates fine now, I wouldn't bother with it. Replace everything else and see how that works first. Otherwise you'll be chasing your tail figuring out a problem that could be several sources. All of my pumps worked and operated exactly the same. Even the new one did nothing better.
