Wait. Does mine even have a camshaft position sensor? If so, none of the parts warehouses such as Oreileys or rockauto seem to know anything about it or have any for sale.

Is a camshaft sensor the same thing as a distributor pickup coil?

Figured it's an old truck, may as well replace both the cam and crank sensors but haven't found anybody selling any camshaft position sensors for my model and vintage pickup.Ordered a Mopar brand crank position sensor and it should be here sometime this week.

Yeah, you have one, parts stores tend to call it a pickup coil.... Mopar sensors only though please, the aftermarket fellers just don't play nice.

FYI while I was able to find an oem crank sensor, the oem cam sensor seems unobtainium.

If you find a stash you may want to get a spare.

Probably not long for that crank sensor to disappear forever too.

Hmm, been wondering about that holley distributor they make for these. I wonder if those are any good.
