Seemed fine yesterday then no start this morning and 5 codes. 95 obd1
Man. At least it was still in my driveway.
Here is the list. About to look in the service manual.
1 2
4 5
3 7

1 1
5 5
I'm leaving out all the swearing.

Hmm guess it's probably a cam or crank sensor problem damn.
I wonder if I have the wrong computer in there considering all the automatic transmission related codes my 5 speed seems to be throwing.

Yeah, couple issues there methinks. Getting trans codes for your manual trans is a pretty good indicator that you have the wrong PCM in there.
11 is cam or crank sensor.
That is the only one that appears to be relevant. So, what's missing? Spark, or fuel?

Thanks. So spark is crank sensor and fuel is cam sensor? I guess I could buy one of those spark plug flasher/tester things and try filming it with my phone. How do you check for fuel under your shade tree....I have an oscilloscope.... maybe I could check injector pulses?
I bet its the crank sensor again. Those things seem like a pain on this truck.
It sure would be cool ($$$) to upgrade to the holley efi and their distributor that eliminates the factory cam and crank sensors.
hmmmm. I didn't used to get those transmission codes. Very strange. The first thing that jumps to my mind are conspiracy theories as usual

I just use an old spark plug to check for spark. Having a second warm body makes that exercise much easier though..... Basically, if you aren't getting spark, probably crank sensor, if you are getting spark, and have good fuel pressure, cam sensor.

Ah ok thanks.
On another subject. Assuming I do manage to fix whatever my no start issue is, do you suppose there is any downside to having the automatic transmission related codes like that? Maybe it puts it in some limp mode? Maybe I can just ignore that if it doesn't affect anything.

And now it starts right up, every time, as if there was never anything wrong. Failing something or other in there. Of course even the best mechanic wont be able to diagnose it when it quits showing its symptoms. Ticking timebomb waiting to strand me.
Might be as simple as a questionable ground somewhere. I went thru three fuel pumps because of a bad ground.
(I obviously took it to the wrong shop.....)
Well, if you are getting all those trans codes, your automatic trans obviously won't work properly. Probably why they gave ya that stick coming up out of the floor next to the tcase shifter.
On a more serious note, I don't think they will cause you any issues, aside from that annoying lite being on.
