Default 98 ram wont move in R, D, 2 or 1st

Let my sum this up quick.
98 dodge ram 1500 5.9l 4x4
Transmission started shifting late into 3rd gear. I would have to give it more gas for it the catch and shift.
Also when im driving through parking lots the truck would down shift.
I bought a 01 truck with the same motor. And put the transmission in mine. Wasn't a good trans...
So i thought i would just replace the kick down band in my trans. I did so. Replaced the oil pump seal.
Got it together and started driving.. seal must of busted or the oil pump gasket. So I dropped it again and replaced both. The gasket for the oil pump and the seal.
note the past few times i dropped the tranny. I left the TC bolted to the flexplate. Now this last time when i changed the gasket and seal. I took the torque converter off with it.. placed it onto the tranny... i think... and put it back on. But the truck wont move now. The rpms change when I shift into R N and D. There's no noises that are coming from Trans. The fluid is good. Please don't ask me to check that.. -.- the filter is new. The bands are adjusted to 72 inch lbs. And backed off.
note... when I dropped the pan last time. The reverse band thing was really really tight i could barely pull it back. The kick down band seemed right when I tested the slack. But a previous time when I dropped the valve body, the reverse band was loose.. like looooose. So did I place something in there wrong. I never adjusted the reverse band.
could it be that the torque converter isn't seated properly on the trans.? I mean it's bolted to the flex plate and when unbolted i can push it back maybe 1/4. But ive lost my damn job because keeping up with my work schedule was getting harder. So I really need this pos to run. Nobody should have to drop the transmission as many times as I have the past 2 weeks... in the same vehicle

T/C is likely fine. Try unplugging the 8 pin connector at the trans, drivers side, about halfway back. See if the trans will go into gear. Keep in mind, you will have ZERO automatic function.

I have. Still nothing. When I switch from park to reverse, it's like the indicater light hides behind the space between P and R. But you can hear the rpms change. This also goes for R into N. You can hear the rpms change to neutral. But it's almost like the indicator light is more in reverses spot.. and when you get to 1st gear the indicator light Is in the 2nd gear spot.

And I lost the spring that goes above the gear linkage outside the trans. I'm gonna get another one but I don't that would be the reason for it to not move at all

If it won't move with it unplugged, you have a mechanical issue.....

Probably the kind that requires a rebuild.....

Need to put a pressure gauge in the various test ports, and see what you are getting. Could be any number of things at this point, from worn clutches, to bad pump.

I was getting frustrated and went outside. Started it up. And in reverse at 3000 rpms it started moving. But transmission fluid started flooding out of the bellhousing again. It did that last time so j changed the gasket and seal to the oil pump.. and now here we are again. What could be causing it to do that.? Pressure build up.?

Overfilled??? The vent for the trans is right above the pump, in the bellhousing.

I wouldn't think so. The truck leaked a lot a lot of fluid. And now it won't go in reverse anymore or drive. It did for that couple meters before it started leaking
