Can anyone point me in the right direction to the cheapest rebuilt kit for a 1998 dodge ram 1500 5.9l 4x4. And link a thread to a DIY for one.? It won't move in any gear. And when I give it enough gas till 3rpms or 4 then it wants to jerk forward or slowly start reversing but immediately will start flooding transmission fluid out of the bellhousing. Ive disconnected the 8 pin connector and tried that method. Still wouldnt move. I can't afford to take it to the shop. And I would like to learn the transmission. I know the engine. Well.. but I've never had luck with just fixing a transmission trying to prevent rebuilding or getting a new one. So please. Point.
