I have the 8.0, so, no guarantee they would use the same plugs.

Champion RC12LC4 is the part number I come up with. Should be able to cross reference those to other manufacturers.

Not sure how I feel about the "V power" thing. Don't know if it hurts, helps, or makes no difference at all. My guess is the latter.

You didn't say what year this is. In 97 the plugs changed part #'s.The motors are the same so why did the plugs change #'s? The difference is the gap, But why did they change them? Emissions is my guess. Here are some of my notes(all #'s are Autolite or Champion) ...

14MM 3 ⁄4 " 5 ⁄8 " Gasket Power(tip) Suppressor D11 Copper Core
14MM 3⁄4 " 5 ⁄ 8 " Gasket Special Power(tip) Suppressor D11 Copper Core
(this is what is on the Autolite web site but don't tell you what the difference between the (power tip and the special power tip)
3924 OE Style .035"/0.9mm (96)
5224 OE Style .040"/1.0mm BOTH 5.2/5.9 (97)

1997 5.9 3924(.035) 5.2 5224(.040)

factory manual says RC12YC FOR BOTH 5.2 AND 5.9.035 GAP

I would stay away from Champion, I used them when i first got my truck and got tired of replacing them after a year or two due to misfires. Very happy with the Autolites! As for the "U" shaped tip(per google)" In 1974 DENSO developed a ground electrode with a now-familiar U-groove design, allowing more focused sparks on a smaller surface area" I would like to see some documentation of their claim! Electricity is going to use the path of least resistance so how does a U electrode shape make any difference in that? Marketing gimmick unless someone can prove otherwise.

Here is a plug cross reference for the RC12YC

NGK plugs work well in the many applications I've used them in. You shouldn't encounter any misfires with them when new and haven't been dropped.

Thanks for the info guys. Able to order some on the internet. Will check in my other local shop first tomorrow.

Also will ask them to get a oil pressure gauge & compression gauge rented out for next weekend.

I've been doing some google as well, and was wondering if the mopar m1 performance intake is any good?
Does it help on lower RPM's?
