Default Bucking help

2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9l Off Road: I just replaced the heater core. I detached the shifter cable under the steering column when removing dashboard. I reconnected the cable after putting everything together. Not sure if this cable is the problem or not. Now when accelerating up around 3rd or 4th gear the truck starts bucking really bad. Once the speed levels out it calms down but step on the gas again and it starts bucking. If I turn off overdrive button it does not but at all, drives perfect.

Misfires. Did you do anything under the hood? If so, start looking in that area for disconnected wires/vacuum lines, etc.

I did have to remove the air intake to remove the 2 hoses to the heater core. It has one of those KN after market types. The hose that comes off the air intake tube and runs to the valve cover, what is that part in the valve cover called and could that cause this issue?

Definitely strikes me as a misfire. Pull codes including pending codes. If nothing, keep driving it and keep checking for pending codes.

Might be just an elbow, or, it might be a PCV valve. Can you post a pic of it?

wtf, but awesome. Forgot to turn OD off and didn’t realize it until I got down the road. Truck is running perfect now all of a sudden. Not sure if turning OD off triggered something or what, but the truck is running great now!
