Default 1998 Ram 1500- Crank no start

1998 Dodge Ram 1500, 5.9L Magnum, very often when turning the key to the on position, i can hear the fuel pump on but it stays on and my fuel gauge doesn't move from empty, i have confirmed there is fuel. Fuel is getting to the rail and going to the fuel pressure valve. The engine cranks but won't start.

Sometimes i hop in turn to the on position, i can hear the fuel pump turn on for about 3 seconds like normal to deliver fuel, the fuel gauge will move properly, and the truck will start no problem.

i confirmed fuel relay is good, the fuel fuse is good, and im getting spark. I replaced ignition switch and still same issues. Im not getting any codes when scanning when the truck is working normal. When I have the issue mentioned my code reader says No Link. Could this be PCM or ECU issue? Any help is appreciated.

The fuel pump staying on isn't a good sign. Possibly bad PCM.... are you getting injector pulse??

Injectors working. I have fuel pressure. On thing I found today is I disconnected the one of the PCM modules (far left one), plugged back in and everything worked and truck fired right up. I’m still thinking PCM but I’m pretty new to all this so still not sure.

Could be a bad PCM, or, it may just been a bad connection on one or more of the pins in that connector. Probably wouldn't hurt to pull em all, and clean 'em.
