Default towing mirror upgrade to newer gen?

I have a 1995 Dodge 3500 dually, original owner and I will be having the truck striped of its paint and repainted next spring. I am looking for parts to replace the items that are worn out and to upgrade items if possible. Question I have is, I currently have the factory original camper mirrors, the one with the metal pole supports that is bolted to the skin of the door. I would like to have those upgraded to the very large mirror head that extends far out to the side like the newer gen 4-5 ones and can fold in, remember its a dually truck. My truck does not have the small metal triangle frame in the corner of the glass, does any mirror exist to work with what I have? Or can some modification be done to the door frame and add that reinforcement? New glass would be needed, but has anyone done anything like that? Thanks for your reply's in advance.

My door frame does not have the metal support/bracing for that triangular metal bracket. Mine is just glass.

Where do your current mirrors mount? The tow mirrors mount in the same place.

Can you please post a photo or two of what your door and existing side mirror setup looks like?

I am not a computer person, I do not know how to post a picture here. If someone would be so kind and be able to post my picture, please send me your email and I can email you the picture.
The best I can do for now is post this link to what the door looks like, this picture does not have the metal triangular piece in the bottom forward part of the door, just glass. https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NDc0WDUwMA==/z/D-4AAOxyUrZSuLw6/$_3.JPG?set_id=2

This next link is a picture of the mirror that I have. http://jingletruck.com/img/1995-dodg...67922751-3.jpg

Thanks for the photos to help explain your setup better.

If you replace your doors with '96 and up standard cab doors (should be able to find used doors via car-part.com), I suspect that could solve your issue and open up the use of the later style tow mirrors shown in the earlier post. Since you're looking at stripping and painting the truck anyway, it might be a good time to swap out the doors...

Thanks for the reply. Would you know if the interior door panel from my 95, will fit the newer doors?
In my search, I could not find any replacement mirrors to do what I would like that would fit.. Not sure right now if newer doors would be in my budget as I need a number of other replacement items still. I was hoping to see if anyone had any info on that metal triangular piece that the new style mirrors are bolted to, if it could be cut out from a door and welded onto my door?

The little triangular piece at the front of the glass is where the mirrors mount. Yours likely just has some sort of cover on it. All the single cab doors are the same, 94-02 (for 3/4 and 1-ton trucks.)

Mine is a club cab, and there is no metal piece/cover of any kind. Just glass.
