I mentioned my issue with a cat, as it came from personal experience dealing with an old farm house and a rental tenant. Those cats can be real slackers! No wonder they made those Morris the cat commercials...
Cat that get fed, are lazy. They also look for other meals in addition to the one at one house. I had one trying to get inside my back door yesterday. I hooked up my air raid/fire alarm horn from Hallowe'en A couple of blasts and I haven't seen kitty since.
Organic rodent control needs to be either a canine ratter, or a momma cat with kittens. A friend has a Jack Russel terrier that is a pretty laid back and friendly dog. Until she senses a mouse or rat. Then she's a bundle of muscle and tendons. Those dogs will kill because they're bred to kill mice. A momma cat has to feed her kittens and will keep the mice coming.
Two things I will NOT use for rodent control are poison, as spot or fluffy might eat the mouse before it dies, and sticky traps.I just think those are cruel and don't want the revenge of Karma.
