Think I would call the folks that have the clips, see if they really are charging almost 10 bucks a piece for them..... That seems really outrageous. Searching on the part number, and seeing if you can find them cheaper elsewhere wouldn't hurt either. Not sure if the body shops would have anything like that, likely not a lot of call for them any more, but, worth a shot?

I'm aware, as I checked around on the pricing before I provided you with that link, in addition to searching for the image of that clip via Google. Glad they're on the way and will help you complete another resto job. Life with old vehicles...

Default Just a few "anomalies" of my rebuild

This is the plug to the clockspring. The yellow/red wire has a black wire (supposedly/can't find the diagram that describes the circuit) seems to be just...hanging out in the open, hmmmm?

The 'door' at the lower part of the screen, is the door that routes the air from the vents to the floor and defrost. It doesn't EVER close off "completely" the foot circulation cause the angled part of the door is short of the surrounding seal. I couldn't get a pic of the door in "the little slot" to more adequately describe thew problem.

All the doors have been 'resealed' and the HVAC now pumps out the A/C airflow, like it did when Rembrandt did when she was new.

That damn plug is got me perplexed (clockspring plug). The cruise control, horn, EVERY STINKIN' THING on this circuit werx?!? Ahhh well! As long as she werx, right???

Do you have a service manual for your truck? That connector should be listed in there somewhere, along with its pinout.

Yes I do Hey. I have both the factory manual as well as the Haynes. Neither show the wires color coded as currently indicated by the pic. Guess it doesn't matter since everything werx. I originally ordered the pickup from the factory, cause the particular setup I wanted wasn't available anywhere in the US...at the time. I'm used to wiring harnesses that go nowhere. but this is a first for a wire that looks 'individually' and deliberately left out in the open; no connector on the end to terminate, hell, the wire doesn't even look broken off cause there's no wire visible thru the exposed end.
