Default I was hit !!!!!!!

Mine is a 1996 Ram 2500 4x4 I was hit at the corner of NC561 and Union road, a 2008 Buick stopped at the stop sign, I had no stop sign, the stupid *** waited until I was entering the intersection to jam the gas and hit me in the drivers door, dented the door, the cab behind the door and the front of the bed, and or course the rocker panel PLUS now my truck is out of alignment, his insurance is GIECO, I just sent pictures to them and I'm waiting on a reply, I DO NOT want to turn my truck over to the ins company and I WILL NOT turn my turck over to the ins company because it is 27 yars old and they will total it, I just want my enough money from thease asholes to fix the dents myself and replace the shreded tires
WATCH OUT DRIVERS, nowdays people cant drive in the following comditions
(1) rain (2) snow (3) night time (4) day time
the guy said he didnt see me, thats awfully funny since I saw him when he was coming up Bonner Bridge to the point of impact, I even told his ins company and the St trooper that arived on scene that if hi couldnt see me then he SHOULD NOT be driving, on top of that it wasnt even his car According to the Driver exchange form that NC troopers give you it belings to his wife/daughter//sister/trans brother that looks like a sister/ or mother
if I sound pissed, its because I am

Good luck with your accident and working through the process to obtain a reasonable settlement. That process is not fun! The insurance company should work with you to provide you with a monetary settlement to repair your truck that doesn't require you to total the vehicle. Unfortunately, that amount of money will likely be below the blue book value of the truck. If you are planning to replace the damaged truck parts yourself, go ahead and work with a a few body shop for estimates of what is damaged and needs to be replaced/repaired, so that you are ready to discuss your needs with the insurance company. You can also check car-part.com for the necessary used parts needed to repair your truck. Again, good luck!

Calm down a bit. I know you're upset. You didn't punch the keys through the keyboard when you were typing this did you?

Now, I have no idea what the intersection looks like. If he had a stop sign and you did not, it's evident he's at fault. Was he ticketed? When I rode two wheels, I often saw people look right through me and pull out. They didn't expect to see me so they didn't. I bought a car back from the insurance company once with a reduced payout. I fixed the vehicle and except for mismatched colors, it looked the same afterward. If my '96 was hit hard, even if the body wasn't repairable, I'd want to keep it for the drive line.

It's people like that, that cause me to put dash cams in all my vehicles.

I was driving my son's car on the highway last year and was rear-ended by an inattentive driver due to no fault of my own. My son's car was totaled. Most cars today don't have a real rear bumper to survive a rear end collision

After that experience, it got me thinking about so many distracted drivers on the roads today. I went ahead and installed front and rear dash cams in my daily driver as well...

I'm in the process of upgrading all my dash cams to front and rear view. Except for the convertible, because, well, it's a convertible. I put a dash cam in the GF's car. It paid off. A woman ran a stop sign and claimed she (the GF) ran the sign, even though she didn't have one. The other drivers cousin was the responding officer. Fortunately for her, it was a slow day and a State Trooper also responded and he noticed the dash cam. When he pulled the card from the cam, he played it on his computer and it showed the other driver blow through the stop sign without slowing.

I dont know if he gota ticket or not, but the trooper gave him a soberity test and stayed there a long time, worst part about the whole thing is when the trooper was driving back to me WITH HIS LIGHTS ON he was almost Tboned by another pickup with the driver texting

On a better note GIESC contacted me that evening after I made teh post I took pictures of my truck and they are cutting me a check for 35 hundred needless to say a set of tires is on order and being a mechanic if I cant pull tthe dents or pound them out myself, they will be there a long long time
the only problem I should have is the cab area behind the door, the door itself is easy and the bed is ease, I have body hammers for this kind of work and I've dont it and the rest of the mechanic work for 50 of my 60 years
