Default Brake lights and third brake light

My brake lights or my third brake light are working when I hit the brakes. Any ideas what may be the culprit. I changed both to LED style lights. Just noticed they weren’t working. They have been working for the past few years.

I'm confused. Your brake lights and 3rd brake light are supposed to work when you hit the brakes. Was something missed in the typing of this post?

When did you change them to LEDs? Did you install them properly? They ARE polarity sensitive....

Sorry I meant to say they do not light up when I hit the brakes. We installed them about 4 years ago. They have been working up until now.

Getting power to the bulbs? If they ALL went out, I would suspect a bad switch.

Neither the brake lights or the 3rd brake lights work? If that's the case, I'd likely replace your brake light switch.

There may be more than one under there. Don't recall if cruise control has its own switch.

On my '96 Ram, it's just one switch, the brake light switch above the brake pedal, as I replaced it not too long ago..
