I have a 2000 Ram 5.2 2WD auto, was sitting for 11 years, only 120K miles I just flushed out all fluids in engine along with plugs and injectors engine is strong.
Did a basic transmission service, dropped the pan, oil, gasket and filter, it drives well forward but in order to go into rear I have to tap the gas a little to get it to engage.
Suggestions?

Make sure the shift linkage is adjusted properly.... If that's ok, might be an electronics problem..
