Default Truck is “dying” while running.

1996 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 4x4 5-Spd.

Just had axel seal, new brakes and emergency brake, and crank sensor replaced.

Has had plenum done and headers with 3” jegs off-road y pipe to a catback were installed at the same time. Double roller timing chain and water pump along with thermostat was also done.

Some time before all that the distributor cap and plugs was done.

With some info out of the way…..

Truck is “dying” while it idles. It literally just started a week after I got it back from the shop. It “Boggs” down like it’s struggling to keep going or something.

I took it for a test drive and it even does it while at high rpm and it’s like a “hiccup” it kinda studders the whole truck.

the only thing that looks outta place is I have some crazy oxidation or something going on with one of the injectors.

idk where to start really. It’s not throwing any codes or anything - the amp meter just barely wiggles when it Boggs down.

I took a video but idk how to post it on here. it says my file is too large to attach. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Upload the video to youtube, then just link to it here.

Cleaned the throttle body recently? That would be a good place to start.... How is the battery? Mine was getting weak, and would occasionally have issues idling when warm. New battery seems to have solved that one....

How many miles on the truck? Has the fuel pump been replaced? How about the fuel pump relay? Try swapping the fuel pump relay with another one, like the a/c relay. If the problem goes away, your relay is failing. New ones are fairly cheap. Pumps not so much.
