Default Mevotech control arm & bolt set.

I was just wondering if anyone has bought the mevotech 4x4, #8800 lower control arms & bolts?

I got mine and the bolts are too big for the bushing sleeves. Very close but id need a press or hammer to get them in.

Dont recall ever needing to force these in before.

Anyone have input?

I think the bolts changed sizes at some point. I vaguely remember someone else having these issues when replacing control arms...

After a day of cross-referancing all i can come up with is someone put the wrong bolts in the right bag.

i believe the change was 2000 or something. 14mm to 16mm.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Facebook Marketplace seems to have replaced craigslist these days. That being said, I think I've done enough thread hijacking here haha

Threadjacking? Oh come on, we know that *never* happens here.......

Yeah, I may check craigslist first anyway, but, last vehicle I bought, was FBM.

Glad you finally went ahead and started using FBM. When we were discussing that platform some time ago, I believe you didn't want to touch it. Welcome to the other side.. It's a handy platform for buying and selling stuff...

Really, I didn't have a choice. There was just not much I was interested in on Craigslist. The one Jeep I did go an look at, had some issues that were NOT mentioned in the ad..... Like, it only had one gear.... (and she had been driving it like that for over a year) Speedo didn't work, both front wheel bearings were trashed, etc. Took it to a local shop for a 'used vehicle inspection', Yep. needed 3K worth of work..... (for a 3K asking price) and that didn't even include looking at the speedo problem.... So, FBM, here I come. Found a low-mileage Jeep Liberty in really good condition, paint, tires, alt, battery, and a few other things all in the last two years. Did have one bad wheel bearing, but, got 500 bucks knocked off the price for that. Wife is still drivin' that one. Doesn't have cruise control though..... I would have thought that would be STANDARD in this day and age.
