Default Ram 1500 5.2 misfiring at 2k RPM

Howdy, I got a 1997 ram 1500 with the 5.2l magnum V8 with 194k miles. It's been having problems, the engine started shutting off when pressing the brakes and coming to a stop quickly. I replaced the ignition coil, distributor cap, rotor and spark plug cables and it sat during the winter. I started to work on it again today and got it fired up and running, but now when it's under load (2000+ RPM) it misfires. What can I do to fix the issue? The check engine code is for the engine coolant temperature sensor. The wiring is a little messed up. Here's a photo of the new distributor cap with the wires. I also included a video of the truck misfiring.

Use a OBD2 scanner and see what the PCM is seeing for the coolant temperature when you're having the issue. Something is telling me that the bad wiring at the coolant temperature sensor is causing you issues and needs to be fixed.

I attempted to do this, when I first started up the truck I was able to read the information, revved the engine to 2000rpms and didn't have an issue, floored the petal and got it to misfire and code reader couldn't continue to read the PCM live data, but I did get a new code. P1391. I plan on replacing the camshaft position sensor.
(I've replaced this twice already..) I'll be buying a genuine one from Mopar. Mopar 56027870 Crankshaft Position Sensor.

Once the engine is running, the PCM ignores the cam sensor. Replace the crank sensor. Use ONLY a genuine mopar sensor. Yeah, I know, they ain't cheap.

I believe that's the same code I got when my truck died on the side of the road a while ago. I rest the PCM after the truck died and limped it home. I ended up replacing the crank sensor with a Mopar crank sensor (to replace the BWD sensor that I got about 3 - 5 years out of) and all has been great since.

Alrighty, the crankshaft position sensor fixed my issue of it backfiring. New problem now is that the engine is dying when I'm coming to a stop and I'm dumbfounded on what to do next.

Any codes on the scanner, pending or stored? Also, have you thoroughly cleaned the throttle body, along with the idle air control well on the back of the unit?

Maybe just reset the PCM, and let it re-learn idle.....
