Looks like the Indy 500 pace truck. You can run your VIN here, (all caps please) to get a build sheet for it. (they say 98 or newer, but, sometimes it works anyway. )

Indy's only came in blue. What year is it? Could be a SS/T but the stripe doesn't say it. You could get roll pans from the factory but not with exhaust out of them. Looks like somebody built this. You can always tell real Indy's and sst's by the duel paint codes. Look under the hood for the id sticker, It will show primary and secondary paint codes.

 

Would love to see the build sheet for that truck. Might explain exactly what it is.

 

 

I’ve been going on with us for a year now! I have been considering entertaining the idea that somebody was trying to make it look like the SRT 10. I am the third owner of it and I have owned it for 17 years. It’s basically if the Indy and the SRT 10 had a kid it would be my truck lol I had the headliner replaced with that green crushed velvet you see in the photos. Lol. It definitely has a fast souped up motor in it, which I just finally finished redoing and she runs and sounds beautiful.

 

The 2TG package is the trailer towing group. (all the heavy duty stuff/big rear brakes, etc.)

I can't find anything on the 26G package.... But, as I have seen it applied to a variety of vehicles in the Dodge lineup, I don't think it implies SRT, or anything else of that nature. Real possibility that it was original a 'sport' truck, thus, the body colored bumpers/grill, and someone added the stripes later.

 

Just a sport truck that somebody added/modded the other things. Definitely worth keeping! I found something i didn't know today. Was reading the description of the "special editions" here and found that all Indy's and SS/T's had the "Built with pride in the U.S.A." sticker. Mine has it!
