Default 99 Dodge Ram Transmission Issue/Help!

Have a 99 Dodge Ram 1500 that has the 46re transmission. I statrted having issues with the transmission revving up about 200-300 rpms at 55 mph. I replaced the output speed sensor and it fixed that. However, immediately after that my transmission is shifting late. At 25mph it stays in first gear. At 30mph, it will finally kick to 2nd. Sometimes it tries to pull out in 2nd gear. Driving me crazy!!! Some tell me it is the governor speed sensor, while others think it may be the ECM. Anybody experienced this?

Thanks
Robert

Put the old output speed sensor back in. You have fewer problems with that one. Usually, a 2-300 RPM bounce every now and again, is the TPS......

Replaced output sensor back to the old one and it improved. Was a little late shifting, but nothing major until the temperature outside got hotter. It isn't as bad as before, but it still shifts late at times. When it acts up I have to get to around 30mph before it shifts.

Check the TV cable, make sure it is adjusted properly, and moves freely.... If it hangs up, you can get some odd behavior.
