Second gen 24 valve Cummins
Truck runs and stays running for a good ten min and next thing you know it just starts bucking like crazy but I can shut it off and it start right back up no problem. I have changed the fuel filter cleaned the cable connectors from the battery the vp44 has power and I dropped the tank and cleaned it. Any suggestions as to what you think it could be It does have a power puck also
shoot me some ideas please if you have any
Anything electrical...... Might be a marginal connection, failing sensor, bad ground, fuel pump getting weak.... failing lift pump, whole host of possibilities. A good scanner that can dig deep into the data would be handy to have about now.....

Yes fuel pressure is key. Anything above 10 is suitable, unless if falls off under a hard pull. 15 would be better.
A tapped banjo fitting like this will be needed and change out the factory bolt on the pressure fuel line, a snubber is also highly recommended, even required for gauge warranty to soften fuel pressure spikes.
A simple oil pressure gauge 0-30 or 0-20 from your local parts store would be suitable. If you want something more permanent in the cab, which is always recommended on these trucks. I would look at ISSPRO or Autometer. Along with a suitable pillar or column mount, whatever you would prefer. For permanent installations I like electric gauges as it keeps fuel out of the cab, however I prefer the reliability of a mechanical gauge. So you have to pick you preference, there's no wrong answer.
Does the truck have a fuel tap style tuner on it? Edge Juice, Edge Comp, Quadzilla? I have had the fuel solenoid wire short to ground and cause these kinds of issues with no faults, it was a bugger to find. No matter the tuner it has, if it has, I would put back to stock and see if the issue resolves.
