You need to see if the pcm is giving the od solenoid a ground for it to go into od. Below are the wires going into the side of the trans. You need to tap #6 and see if you have a ground there. Keep in mind that od engages about 45 mph. If you are getting a ground and still no od the problem is in the trans.

Either down at the trans, or, up by the PCM....

ok so now I’m worried, I literlly grounded the orange and black wire on the pcm and it definetly locked the converter, but it still isn’t dropping below 2500 rpm

I basically locked the torque converter 24/7 I disconnected this after testing because it would die when coming to a stop

That's the lock up converter NOT the overdrive.

So the PCM is not engaging TCC or O/D. Gotta wonder why..... Have a scanner that can read live data?

no like it is going INTO od if I press the od off button at 65 it jumps up 200 rpm, but if I turn it on it’s dropping 200 but it should be dropping like 500 the torque converter isn’t locking up

200 RPM is TCC. O/D should be 500 or more at 65..... O/D off shouldn't turn off TCC either. Maybe disengage it for a second or two while the trans downshifts..... but, mine doesn't even do that.

PCM wants to see various things before it will allow O/D. Theoretically, it wants trans temp over 108* F, (though mine will engage LONG before it could possibly get to that temp.) Vehicle speed above 42 mph, and no trans codes..... Need a scanner that can see live data, and see what the PCM thinks is going on.
