Default Transmission help

I have an 01 1500 automatic and these codes are what I’m getting
P1281
P1757
P1763
P1762
i unplugged the battery for about an hour and hooked it back up then took it for a drive so now only the P1763 code is showing. I don’t have a scanner I just turned the key on and off 3 times to pull the codes but I did some google searching and it’s transmission related. What are the codes and what do you guys recommend? I’m not new to rams and I’m an average garage mechanic. Is this something that’s fairly easy to fix without breaking the bank?

P1763 GOVERNOR PRESSURE SENSOR VOLTS TOO HIGH

Likely you have a short somewhere in the wiring, or the sensor just failed..... There is an 8 pin connector down on the trans, about halfway back, plugs straight down into the top of the valve body. The wires like to pull out from the connector, and you get a fair bit of exposed copper, closely followed by some truly interesting trans problems.

Default Transmission update

So after getting a p1763 code I replaced the governor pressure solenoid, filter and oil then took it for a drive and worked fine for about a mile and then it started bucking and the rpm’s were surging. Got it home and checked for codes and now I have a p1762 code.

I replaced the governor pressure solenoid
Try replacing the governor pressure SENSOR. Two different things.

Is this on the transmission? I've had this same code for a long time, even put a new-used trans in and still had the same code🙄

In the trans. If you are still getting the same codes after changing the entire trans, you have either a wiring, or PCM issue.

What code are you getting?

It's intermittent and currently not there, it will come and go. I replaced the solenoid and sensor on the first trans and the issue never went away then I blew that trans so I bought a used lower mileage trans and installed it and the same code exists. I believe it's p1763. Governor pressure sensor voltage too high.

Have a look at the 8 pin connector that plugs into the trans on top of the valve body. The wires like to pull out some, then short together......

If that doesn't seem to be the problem, gonna need to plug in with a scanner that can read live data, and see what the PCM is getting from the trans.....
