The isssue still pertains, I called my local dealership to see if they can flash and reprogram it, they seemed unsure but said they will give it a try, is there any way I could do this with a laptop? I have a fairly powerful one and it will flash heavy equipment but don’t know about the difference in trucks.

 

Would need the tune, and the software capable of writing it properly to the PCM...... Which is gonna a cost a whole lot more that what you would spend at the dealer....

Getting an SCT tuner with a manual trans tune would likely do it. But still, that's around 600 bucks these days.
