Anybody ever been driving arouns and hit a deer at 60 mph? I di in a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4, I woudl post pictures but after I washed it off and did a complete instection, the truck didnt get any damage, no the deer didnt have any spots, but I dod have to stop and make sure I didnt run over a dog LOL
Yes i did and the deer didn't make it. I can still remember his head bouncing off the hood. Worst part about it was it was not my car and it was about a year old. If i would have hit it with my truck i think the grill would have gotten cracked but not much else.

I was driving an F-250 and hit one at night. All I found the next day was some blood and fur stuck in the side trim. Now, my little Mazda CX-5 didn't fare so well. I had one run out of a field at speed and hit in the drivers door, roll around and smash the rear door then flip over the car. The truck behind be said it went air born over the car. Besides a dent in the front door, a smashed rear door, the body shop also had to fix hoof prints in the roof.
A little over $5500 damage. They had to replace the door shell. Since I had to drive it for several months for space in the repair shop, I made an addition to it.
I wanted to make sure the police knew it had been like that in case of a hit and run involving a red SUV. They'd know it wasn't me. When I was putting the sticker on, a neighborhood kid didn't know about the Roadrunner/Coyote cartoons.

Reason: i kant spel wurth a durn
A coworker had a brother that died from hitting a deer. The deer rolled up onto the hood and went hoof's first through the windshield and kicked him to death.
Last year a neighbor hit a wild boar, there was no body damage done to his truck .... It triggered every air bag in the truck though and insurance company totaled it.
A newer chebby with only 6 more payments to go to be paid for .... now he has 5 more years of payments.
Wild deer and boar are thick here in West Texas .... I see them dead along the highway every time I drive to town .... almost paranoid to drive after dark, I avoid it if I can.

The day I bought my 01 2500 I smoked a dear dead center, he rolled right under, assume he was dead, never went back to look, truck came with a full replacement bumper already on it so no damage other then a sh** stain on the head light..... My buddy had traded the truck into the dealer after owning it for several years and never hitting a deer so I had to call him right away and let him know.
My wife hit a deer in her 15" Durango a few weeks ago, I'm not sure the speed probably 40s. I'm not sure where it hit but she said it ran off, but she had just left home so she came back and I checked it over, I found zero damage other then a crack in the paint of the plastic bumper facia and some fur fluff. Not sure if i Helped it out as the grill is not fully secured in as i had attempted to replace the radiator only to find I received the wrong one and I said no way am i putting all the screws back in just to do it a again in a week
My brother had a Mitsubishi Eclipse, one of the turbocharged rather fun to drive variety. On his way home from work, this HUGE buck, ran across the road, right into his drivers side door. He said it pushed the car over a couple inches when he hit..... He stopped, and in his mirror, he saw the buck get up, shake his head, then continue running off. The drivers side door had to be replaced.... the dent was so deep, he couldn't roll the windows down, and it was difficult to open/close as well....
Less than a week later, on the same stretch of road, between going to work in the morning, and coming home at night, a DEEP pothole opened up in the road..... He didn't see it till it was too late, and hit it. Destroyed the tire, and bent the rim almost in half..... So, new rim, new tires. (all four.... what the heck, right?)
He started taking a different route home from work.
I was on my bike one evening, in a hurry to get home..... and moving right along on the back country roads. Blew thru a herd of five or six deer...... I could have petted them on my way past. Fortunately, I didn't hit of them.

Deer on my Harley has to be the most scary of any deer incidents I can think of. I've had a few buddies with unfortunate encounters though all are still functioning as they always have. Could have ended much worse, dad had on jump over him he claim, the foot bushed him as it went over.
I was thinking back maybe 8-9 years ago, I owned an 04 3500, bought an 06 donor and did the front clip swap. I always hated the 06 headlights with the amber marker, I scored a set of 07 take off's on craigslist and installed them. Truck had a ranch hand brush guard, not full replacement, driving home that night after installing the 07 headlights, hooked a deer passenger side, grill guard tweaked back enough it hit the headlight and broke the little ball socket mount off. Back on craigslist's, found another set of headlights, after X amount of time, on vacation in the mountains, same thing again, clipped a deer passenger side, tweaked the guard back enough is popped the headlight again. Needless to say I had the market cornered on passenger 07-09 headlights for few months..... and a shelf full of unneeded drivers side headlights

Several years ago at my work one of the ladies came in to work(first there). She walks in to where her desk was and she was staring at a deer! It seems the deer got spooked and broke in one of the windows in a different part of the building. Then it was trying to find a way out and destroyed one of the workers desk's. It broke the window but didn't make it out. The lady ran out and called the police. They then opened all the doors and got the deer to run out. That was an eye opener as soon as you walk into work! On a side note if anybody ever wondered if those deer whistler things you stick on you bumper work, They don't. They will make a noise but it's so small the deer won't hear it. They have similar hearing to us but they can hear higher pitch sounds where we can't. So if you have an exhaust note you can hear so can the deer. My exhaust is not noisy but not totally quiet either. guess it's enough for the deer to hear because never had one jump out in front of me since i had my truck. Seen plenty on the side of the road as i go by.

We had that happen at a plastics factory I used to work at. It was summer, it was hot, we worked 3 shifts, so, the doors were always open..... I deer wandered in thru one of the back doors, got confused by all the noise, and light, and was running around the factory floor, looking for a way out. Three of use kinda 'herded" him toward the loading docks, and back out into the world. It was kind fun for a few minutes.
