The Amazon offered wiring harness *should* work for your needs to create a relayed setup for your headlights, however, you will still need to check your headlight switch and the wiring harness going to the switch at a minimum, in addition to addressing the hacked up wiring you already have under the hood going to your headlights. The new harness MUST have an existing & working 9004 connector to plug into to operate as intended. You may also want to try to find an OE wiring harness from the correct year(s) donor truck to fix your underhood wiring problem.

Some creative wiring going on there.
Creative is not what i see! I like the burn mark on the top of the battery and the strap, OOOOPS!
You have a 2500 so you have more lights to power than a 1500. There was a recall on the 3500's for burning the switch and plug. This should have also covered the 2500. I replaced my switch and plug at lease 3 times. Put leds in the markers/etc this will help bring the amp draw down. One thing i notice is they get the "sport" headlights wrong. I'm looking for clear lens housings for hid retrofit. As mentioned the quad lights didn't start till 98 and they confuse the earlier versions of the sport with it. Start at your switch and plug then the wiring. This is what my first one looked like.

Alright so I installed the new harness and it works now. I’m really happy that’s all I needed haha. But there is still a weird problem. My low beams are working great they are brighter than before. But when I switch to high beams they are SUPER dim. I’m not too sure what that is or if there’s anything I can do about it.

Glad to hear that you got the low beams working! What harness did you install and did you repair/replace the hacked-up headlight harness under the hood that you had in your truck? Did you also check the headlight switch and wiring behind the headlight switch in the dash? Lastly, do you have two headlight bulbs per side or one headlight bulb per side?

Recheck the grounds for the high beams.
