Level kit has my axle off center and gets the “wobble” after driving over a bump
i’ve installed a 3.5 level kit on my 2g and had no problems with it. but i got a single cab thag im tryna build, i put a 3inch level kit on it, it drove fine at first till i went to work then it got a bad wobble after hitting a bump on the road. i parked it, and the axle was off center i think? one tire was about inch out of the fender and the other side is 1inch in the fenderwell. i have stock front end components. i just got a dual stabilizer and 2.5 inch level kit with the right shocks. i asked a buddy of mine and he said to check the track bar to see if its lose. i did and it seems good. but im just confused on what else could throw the axle off.
You raised the truck, but, the track bar is the same length. The track bar is what centers the axle under the truck. Several companies make adjustable bars. If you go that route, go with the third-gen style 'upgraded' track bar, it has bushings at both ends, no ball joint to wear out. Chances are, that'll address your death wobble as well.
More specifically the track bar now sits at a steeper angle which pulls the axle to one side. At stock ride height it sits close to level. An adjustable track bar gets the axle back to center but does not change the angle so it's not a guaranteed fix but it often does. In the Jeep world lifts above 2" frequently have some sort of track bar relocation bracket that corrects the angle, don't know if that exists for the 2nd gen Rams.
