Default check the CPS wiring?

I tend to agree it's the CPS gone bad although I would first re-seat the connector and check that wiring to the PCM. If you have access to a scope, you can backprobe the wiring at the connector or PCM to check for the CKS and CPS signals (once it fails to start). If you clear the code, does it come back after failing to start again? Best to make sure the CPS code is not a red herring here

This may be "over thunking" the problem but I recently had a crank no start issue on my 5.9 (but no codes) and initially thought it was the CKS. It turned out to be a bad PCM...

I'm surprised that they haven't started selling them yet either. Perhaps, it's a patent issue. I'm surprised they still have the English wheels in the store, given their size, however, when I looked it up on their web site, the English wheels are on clearance. Perhaps they are on their way out for good..

CM for $184
Amazon Amazon

Looking at my order history, I got my Traxxion in 2013 for $162, so factoring in Somethingnomics $184 today ain't bad

Funny thing is, O'Reilly's Auto here in Virginia doesn't even carry the camshaft sensor position as a part that's available to order.

Try looking up a "distributor pickup". That should come up and it's the same thing.

Probably because while we colloquially call it "cam sensor" it sits in the distributor and is properly named "distributor pickup". That's what O'Reilly's lists it as.

10-4 that's exactly what O'Reilly's had in stock was a "distributor pickup". Circular disk that fits under the distro cap with a pigtail connector for the sensor.
