Haven't been able to get MAPP since '08. Watch pawn shops for bottles, though!!!

Now you can only get fakey MAPP aka MAPP Pro (a misnomer if there ever was one).

Original MAPP~5300 F
Fakey MAPP ~3700
Propane ~3600

So, not much advantage to MAPP (anti)Pro these days.....

Also an inductor may work here. I've got an inexpensive one and been fairly impressed....

I wasn't aware of MAPP gas being downgraded in flame output temperature since 2008 (since the factory closed that produced real deal MAPP gas). After looking at my MAPP gas cylinder, you're absolutely correct.

As for an induction heater, I have one (Venom HP) and it's no where near as good as using the acetylene turbo torch connected to a B tank when not near a gas tank or highly flammable source. The induction heater gets the bolt cherry red quick, but it cools down really quick and the Induction Innovation folks don't want you to run the tool too long to keep the bolt hot for longer, which is really needed in this case
