Default 46RE Shifting issues

Hello all, I got a 2001 5.9 1500 gasser
I started out with a bit of a shifting issue between 1st and 2nd, it would shift but would sometimes slam into gear or it would shift gently if you didn’t rev the engine at all. So I had a check engine light on for the transmission Solenoid and sensor. Great, I figure it’s an easy fix (solenoid, sensor, filter, fluid and band adjustment.)
I replaced all those items with no success.
now, I can get the truck to shift into 1st gear and reverse but it will slip out of gear the entire time.
Fluid is perfect and i made sure the band adjustments were perfect 72 inch lbs 2 back (rear) 72 inch lbs 2 7/8 back (front band)

What else can I do to try and save this transmission? I had been running it fine with the shift issue but figured these parts would fix it. Now I’m out a vehicle. Please help!

What brand parts did you install? Your issues sound familiar to me. My truck would do the same thing. Hard shifting, dropping into neutral at stops, SLAMMING into gear when ya stepped on the gas, etc..... I replaced the governor pressure sensor and solenoid, with the BW Heavy duty solenoid set, and also the output speed sensor on the trans. 99% of my issues went away.
