Crank no start issues 5.9 magnum
I have a 98 ram 1500 5.9 magnum. im having some issues with I just got the plenum plate and gasket done for my truck after noticing I ate through 2 quarts of oil in less that 1000 miles. got it done the first time and oil consumption went down and she ran good for a while, but noticed the intake wasn't properly sealed. went in to reseal it and now I've got a crank no start. noticed there was no fuel getting to the rail, so I replaced the pump. I have fuel in the rail now, but still a no crank no start. anyone have any info that would be able to help me?

I meant to say it's still a crank no start. Im going to pull the intake back off to make sure everything is good there. I'll try to get a vid today of how it sounds when cranking.
Intake won't have anything to do with cranking. Think I would just leave it for now, and wait and see if it actually IS a problem. For the time being, will the truck crank in neutral? Or, if you wiggle the shifter while holding the key on start, does anything happen?
had the same crank no start issue with my 95 ram 1500 5.9 magnum. It takes 3 things for engine to run. Fuel, spark, and air. Since you do have fuel check the pressure should be around 45 psi. Next check output at plugs to see if you have fire. If those two check out, check your ground wires from body to engine. There should be 2 grounds. Also in the front of the intake there are 2 water temp sensors, one for gauge and one for ecm. The ecm has to have signal from this signal in order for engine to start. There is also a crank position sensor below the egr valve on passenger side. If this goes out it will cause a no start issue. Also check all the connections to sensors you unplugged for good contact. I've had this issue 2 times so far. First was the ecm temp sensor and second was a bad ground to engine. Maybe this will help
