Default 98 Dodge Ram 1500 heater issue

I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 5.9 and the issue I'm having is that the AC blows cold but not hot. I'm thinking maybe blower motor needs replacement? Was hoping maybe to get some suggestions on how to diagnose the issue and or other things I should check.

Thank you for any help!

If your inside blower motor blows on all speeds, not your blower motor. Feel your heater core hoses that go into the firewall. Temp gun works best. Suspect heater core plugged.

OK that’s good to know because it does blow on all speeds so next heater core hoses check. Is there a specific temp I’m looking for?

Temperature difference Heater core condition
1. 10–25°F cooler at the outlet The heater core is functioning properly
2. 50–80°F cooler at the outlet The heater core may be blocked or restricted
3. Significantly cooler at the outlet The heater core is probably clogged

So your problem is the heat not the fan speed correct? The coupling on the blend door is problematic.

I don't know why Heater Treater doesn't fix their page. Their product only applies to '00+ (or is it '99?)

'98 has cable actuated hot/cold blend door. You can drop your glovebox and look on top of the HVAC box and you'll see the arm move. The question is if you think the movement of the arm correlates to movements or clunking of a door inside

I've installed a Heater Treater coupler on a 2000 1500, although in that case the stock coupler was not failed.
