Yes, but that is still low torque, low top end situation, I wanted to know how torque and power curve changes when you shorten them by half

Less torque/power in the lower RPM range, more power in the mid to upper RPM range. But, you also need to keep in mind the cam is designed for a truck... Unless you changed it?

But my main concern is if shortening too much in this designer type might do too much turbulence in airflow and lower allover performance, this is why I ask if anybody before tried such mod.

That would be a nice bump even with a stock kegger, you wouldn't see any benefit north of about 4500 RPM though, as the kegger would be running out of breath. Think I would leave the runners about 3 inches or so long, and give it headers and a nice free-flowing exhaust..... Ideally, a "real" short runner intake would get more out of it. To get the "most" out of it though, you'll need to do some custom tuning.

The link I posted they used one of these on Engine Masters compared to the stock kegger. It increased the hp rating at all rpm's (Ladder on the dyno). But they start at like 2500-3000 rpm so nothing below that.

This Is why I use it in all of my cats for last 20 years if not running carburetor 😁

Well seems like no one before done it so I'll check and post Dyno results before and after cutting runners and lowering volume of intake 😊
