Default crank no start 5.9 cummins

be experiencing a wierd problem recently, sometimes truck starts and runs just fine then sometimes it starts fine and dies out 2 mins later when i’m going down the road, hot or cold doesn’t matter, have 2 codes but no lights on the dash for injection timing circuit and i can’t remember the other one off the top of my head, is my vp44 on the way out, truck has 166k on it and an original vp, yes i cracked the fuel line to the vp and it was fine, got lots of fuel but now the trucks not starting and i’m getting absolutely no fuel out of injector lines 1,3, and 4, but everytime this happens all i do is
crank the **** out of it till it starts, really need some help because this is now my only vehicle and i have work on monday

Those are likely related, and tend to imply the injection pump took a dump.....

You can download the service manual from here, there are some troubleshooting steps in there.

kinda figured, gonna try and change the crank sensor see if that fixes it, when it does start it runs fine like the pump isn’t even going bad, but when it shuts off it sounds like it lost fuel
