feels watery almost watery, but no grit and in the sun it looks like it may have shards but I believe it was from the old chain but I did a oil change right after changing it.

Is the check engine light on? If so, you will need to do the "key dance" to obtain the codes from the light flashes..

I did the key dance and it gives me 12 and 55 basically nothing

I don't expect oil to be perfectly clean.... not in the high mileage motors I drive...... and one oil change won't clean out any detritus that was left over from some other problem..... If the oil makes you nervous, change it again, and use 'better' oil? Change the filter again too.....

was checking the O2 sensor to make sure it was working but noticed the cat was black and seems new bc its gloss black

That's not stock...... Generally, they get pretty hot, and any paint on them just doesn't last long..... Wonder if someone changed in hoping to fix the problem?

Oh no sorry, meant the inside of it, such as deposits, I should've explained better.
