Default Ram Vs Dakota

I need a new transmission for my 99 Ram 1500. It's an NV3500 transmission. I saw on Marketplace that there is a guy that is selling a Dakota manual transmission, but it's from a v6. Will that fit in the Ram? I would assume that the bellhousing portion would have a different bolt pattern, so I could swap the bellhousing portion?

NV3500 I believe the bellhousing is integral to the trans..... But, I believe all the gas engines used the same bolt pattern. My only question would be about shifter location, rumor has it, it's different from full sized trucks, to the dakotas.....

Judging from a picture of a Dakota Transmission and what I have, it does seem that the shifter location is different.
