It's a 3.9 with the 5 speed manual. 89k original miles. Paint on body is a bit faded, there are a few surface rust spots around the wheel wells, but overall it is in pretty solid shape for its age.

I'm looking in terms of a low mileage project to tune up and work on. The seller is not asking for a huge sum of money for it which is a plus.

Should I go for it? Are there any common problem areas I should check while inspecting it?

Whee did it live its life? If it was NOT in the rust belt, a low mileage truck of that vintage would make for an excellent project.
