Idle good and runs fine but randomly loses power
I have a 1995 dodge ram 1500 3.9 auto with around 300K+ miles and it had new timing, spark plugs, plug wires and distributor cap and rotor. but the truck runs good and about maybe 10-20 mins of driving it randomly starts stuttering/ misfiring for like 5 seconds on the highway then returns to normal but CEL comes on with code 14 (MAP senor voltage too high or too low) but when I pull over and disconnect the battery and reconnect it, the problem goes away temporarily also the sensor is new and I also checked the wiring and its all good. New PCM maybe? couple months back battery tipped over and hit brake booster and it lost most of my brake sensitivity but even after that happened the truck ran fine, could it be that over time it started slowly messing up?
The MAP sensor may be defective, even if new. I'd try replacing it with another MAP sensor. Also, you may want to consider checking your brake booster for a possible vacuum leak from the battery hitting it.
