When I lowered a 2nd Gen for a guy the max he could go was 3" front, 5" rear. It leveled the truck as well. Anthony More then that, requires modification.
I think you are confusing the control arms with the track bar. You will need an adjustable track bar. You won't have very much up travel on the suspension. The rest we just removed the blocks and did a u-bolt flip.
