Default Lift kits

I installed a 3” lift on my 2wd truck. 2” spacers and 2” block. Both ads claimed a 3” lift.

I believe I either need longer shocks or shock extenders because it’s pretty rough going over speed bumps and it doesn’t take rougher roads too well.

The speed bumps are the worst. It’s almost like it’s there isn’t enough give. Just a hard jar.

I’ve searched everywhere to find longer shocks that will fit my truck, as well as shock extenders and I can’t find anything. The longer shocks I’ve found are for 4WDs and the extenders are for everything but my truck.

any advice? I saw 1 guy on YouTube that used extenders, but the link he provided no longer exists on eBay.

also, should I upgrade any other suspension parts with such a high lift? Driveshaft, control arms etc?

For example Rancho has all shock measurements on their website. Look for stock shock and take note of the specs. Then you'll just have to go through their catalog and find correct shock.

Your shocks are extended more. If you are taking hard hits on compression, something else is going on.

I have a 98 quad cab laramie rwd 5.9l
I used max trac 2 inch lift coils with skyjacker 2 inxh lift blackmax twin tube foam cell in the front and added some spring assisted shocks by Gabriel . Everything went in really easy. You can get the shocks from skyjacker, the springs from max trac, and the rears from I think Amazon. The ride is awesome especially considering I was riding on original equipment from 1998. Also switched out sway bar bushings and links from energy suspension.
Hopefully this helps oh the truck sits at 37.5 inchrs in the rear and 36.5 in the front.
