Stiff clutch

Default Stiff clutch

Just changed the clutch on my 01 1500 with a 5.2. the clutch doesn't move when I push the clutch in. Suggestions????

Are you saying that the clutch pedal isn't moving?

Yes I mean I didn't try to stomp it. I did try to depress it like I normally would

Check the slave cylinder, that it's mounted correctly. Not familiar with clutches on these trucks, but in general if the rod that pushes the clutch fork is misaligned, it could cause described situation.

Did the push rod fall out of the slave? is the fluid full? is the pedal really squishy or firm?

Well it sounds like he's saying the pedal won't depress at all, so I guess I'd classify that as quite firm

But I don't know what would cause this except for a bound-up fork or throwout.....?

I couldn't decide, he says he's pushing it in so to me this means the pedal is moving but the clutch isn't releasing. There's no way stock, to visibly see the clutch move
