Default Oil pressure & running hot

Hello everyone, I just got my plenum gasket done as I was out of town for work & figured it was the perfect time for me to avoid doing it lol. Well after the fact I’ve driven it about 250 miles and have noticed idle/no throttle cruising im about 20-30 psi oil pressure & w/ throttle is 40 psi. I also have noticed under zero load the motor is strong at 200 degrees, but depending on the load it varies from 205-230. I only ask because before I had it done the motor never left 40 psi & temp never left 200. Are these normal ? The temperature definitely feels pretty hot to me, and the coolant is at the accurate level

Oil pressure behavior is pretty normal. Bear in mind, the gauge isn't the most accurate thing in the world......

As for Temp though, I would check the connection on the temp sensor, and make sure it's good, clean, and tight. If yours is indeed a 96, then you will have TWO temp sensors. Two wire sensor for the PCM, and a one-wire sensor for the gauge.

As part of the plenum gasket upgrade, did you change the thermostat, water pump or anything else?

You didn't say how many miles you have or what weight oil you are using.
