Got a 1998 dodge ram 1500 replaced all the ac components hi low switches too and the clutch won’t engage got it full of freon and everything no fuses blown or anything anything too point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated
A/C clutch is powered by the A/C relay in the PDC, the relay is powered by Fuse 11 Run/Start and grounded by the PCM.
Being as its controlled by the PCM you have multiple factors involved. It appears the HVAC control sends two signals to the PCM one to request A/C and the second to pass through the high/low switches for safety sense. HVAC control is powered by fuse 5, however if your mode/blower selections are working, the HVAC control is powered just fine.
Have you checked the pressure switches for continuity? If the pressure is to high or low(depending on how much freon you put in) you won't have continuity and the system won't have a complete circuit and won't come on.
So I replaced all the hi low switch and since yesterday the compressor has kicked on but a few seconds after it shuts off now the cold line has a point which one half cold the other not cold as shown in the picture would this be enough to restrict the flow
