Default Brake light issues

Hello, im trying to diagnose an issue with my brake lights, ive verified the wiring from inside the truck to the tailights them is good by applying 12 volts to it, and replaced the brake switch on the pedal under the dash, ive been looking at drawings online and have narrowed it down the either the multi switch located on the steering column or what ever this i cant seem to find under the dash(pictured below) is anyone able to tell me what this j/c 6 is? im this close to just replacing the entire harness under this dash as its given me so many issues

J/C 6 is a "joint connector" which is just a fancy splice. Does the third brake light on the back of the cab work ? If so the brake light switch is working. Do the turn signals work in the rear ? If yes the wiring from the multifunction switch to the back is good, and you need to check the wiring from the brake switch to the MF switch.
